I would be more optimistic about release time frames if and when the developers say something. I again, highly doubt this game will release this year.
It is really unlikely to have a sudden release date now and even less unlikely for the game to release out of the blue without any official announcements first. This is technically still an indie dev and who knows if they are stuck between a limbo of publisher legalities, budget, man-hours and getting the game to work perfectly. At least Dying Light 2 had a reason: (whether it's true or not) they need more time for polishing. We haven't heard much about it, so they should at the very least tell us *something.* Even an indefinite delay a la Dying Light 2 would be more than this silence.
It's been in development for a really long time and they've been selling the collector's edition for ages now. I don't see why it's unlikely that it won't release this year, though. It's a possibility at this point and it's about time anyway. So there seems to be some movement regarding BM. It could very well be true and wouldn't be the first time a retailer "leaked" release dates.
